Transubstantiation unscriptural: John 6:54 & 61-64, John 16:25, 1 Corinthians 10:14-17, John 6:35, Matthew 26:26-29, 1 Corinthians 11:28
HOLY COMMUNION IS A REMEMBRANCE OF THE BODY AND BLOOD OF CHRIST BUT IS NOT THE ACTUAL BODY AND BLOOD
Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
- JOHN 6:54
BUT NOTICE WHAT JESUS COMMENTS ON WHAT HE JUST SAID IN JOHN 6:61-64... When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you? What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before? It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.
These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall show you plainly of the Father.
- JOHN 16:25
Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry. I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say. The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.
- 1 CORINTHIANS 10:14-17
And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
- JOHN 6:35
And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.
- MATTHEW 26:26-29
But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.
- 1 CORINTHIANS 11:28
